No pressure. No pitch. Just an honest conversation about your situation, what’s possible, and whether we’re the right fit.
Most buyer’s agency enquiries go like this: you fill in a form, someone calls you back two days later, spends 45 minutes trying to close you on a retainer, and you leave the call more confused than when you started. That’s not how we do it.
For new enquiries, we respond same business day. For existing clients, it’s hours. We don’t let enquiries sit in a queue.
Before we get into strategy, budget, and brief, we spend 15 minutes making sure this is actually the right fit, for you and for us. No point going deeper if the fundamentals don’t align.
If the initial call confirms we can genuinely help, we book a proper strategy session, 45 minutes, no charge, covering your financial position, your brief, current market conditions in your target area, and exactly what working together would look like.
No pressure to move forward. If we’re not the right fit, we’ll tell you. If we are, we’ll tell you that too, and explain exactly what the next step looks like. Everything up to and including the strategy call is free. No commitment required.
The more we know going in, the more useful the call will be. If you can, come to the initial conversation with a rough sense of:
Gold Coast, Brisbane, or both? Any specific suburbs on your list, or are you open to guidance?
House, unit, townhouse?
How many bedrooms?
Owner-occupied or investment?
Your comfortable ceiling, not just your maximum. There’s a difference, and it matters for how we structure the search.
Are you looking to move within weeks, months, or are you in early research mode? No wrong answer, it just shapes the approach.
Pre-approval in place, or still working through borrowing capacity? We can make introductions to our broker network if needed.
You don’t need all of this locked down before you reach out. But having a rough sense of each makes the first conversation more useful for everyone.
You’ll receive a short confirmation with three or four questions about your situation, location, property type, budget range, and timeline. Takes two minutes to fill in. Means we walk into the call already across the basics and can spend the time on what actually matters.
We check fit, yours and ours. Are we operating in the right market for what you need? Is your brief something we can genuinely help with? Is the timing right? Honest answers to all three, and we move forward or we don’t.
If the initial call confirms we’re a match, this is where we go deep. Your financial position and borrowing capacity. Your brief, what you want, what you need, and what you’d compromise on. Current market conditions in your target suburbs. What properties are actually available at your price point, and what they’re really worth. And exactly how our process works from here to settlement.
If you want to proceed, we confirm the engagement, finalise your buyer brief, and begin sourcing. The quickest we’ve moved from strategy call to exchange is 28 days. Most engagements run around three weeks from offer to exchange.
No. Some of our best client relationships start months before an active search. The strategy call is useful regardless of where you are in the process, it gives you a clear picture of your position in the current market, what properties are realistically available at your price point, and what you’d need to do to be ready when the right opportunity comes up. Coming in early means you’re prepared when it matters. Coming in late means you’re already behind.
That’s exactly what the initial call is for. We’ll give you an honest answer, including telling you if we don’t think the fee is justified for your situation. We’d rather lose an engagement than take on a client we can’t genuinely help.
We hear this regularly. The most common version: a client paid a retainer, had their brief passed to a junior they’d never met, received a shortlist of properties that clearly hadn’t been properly filtered, and felt like they were being managed rather than represented. What’s different here is simple: Ben and Alistair are on every deal. Every inspection, every negotiation, every contract review, both founders, start to finish. No handoffs. No juniors. The people you speak to on the strategy call are the same people who will be in the room negotiating your purchase.
Gold Coast and Brisbane. We’ve made a deliberate choice to operate in two markets deeply rather than everywhere shallowly. If you’re looking outside these markets, we’ll tell you honestly, and where we can, we’ll point you toward someone we trust.
Quickly. Our fastest deal went from brief to settlement in 28 days. About a quarter of our purchases are found and secured in under two weeks. The prerequisite is being finance-ready, pre-approval in place, deposit confirmed, and a brief that’s clear enough that we can assess a property and make a recommendation fast. If you’re not finance-ready yet, the strategy call is still the right first step, we’ll work out what needs to happen before we can move, and make the introductions to get it done.
It’s genuinely free. No catch. We charge for results, when we secure a property for a client. Not for conversations. The strategy call exists because the right engagement starts with genuine fit, and genuine fit requires an honest conversation first. If that conversation leads to an engagement, great. If it doesn’t, you walk away with a clear read on your market position and what’s actually possible at your price point. Either way, the call is worth having.
A quarter of our clients refer someone they know after settlement. Not because we asked them to, because the experience was worth talking about.
That’s the standard every engagement is held to. Not closing the deal. Not collecting the fee. Delivering an outcome that a client feels good enough about to put their name to, and tell their friends.
If that’s the kind of representation you’re looking for, the strategy call is the right first step.
